Resources - Jesus is alive

This page has some general concepts that you may find useful.

There are also some limited copyright issues, which are towards the bottom of that page here. Please do read them. They are not complex!

I also make some comments about the source of material - again please read, especially if you recognise your material! I mean no offense.

There is also an Alphabetical list of resources here

This is a simple responsive chant that can be used at Easter time.   Please feel free to adapt as you need to , but see the limited copyright issues as well

There is another responsive Easter chant here

This simple responsive chant can be used to reinforce the fact that Jesus is alive! It started as a rhyme with rhythm, but I felt that the concepts were too hard for people with a learning disability to 'hang on to' from one section to another. So I have removed that element of it, and made it simpler.

We teach the response first, have the words projected for those that can read, and use Makaton signing to go with it!

The response can be accompanied with as much noise as you like – flags, stamping feet, clapping, cheering, instruments etc!

People say that God is dead! But..

Let us praise the Risen Lord!

We know we can shout that God’s alive

Let us praise the Risen Lord!

Peter looked inside the tomb

Let us praise the Risen Lord!

Peter did not see Jesus’ body

Let us praise the Risen Lord!

Jesus came and spoke to Peter

Let us praise the Risen Lord!

Jesus said, “I’m alive. It’s Easter day!”

Let us praise the Risen Lord!

God’s alive - that’s really great!

Let us praise the Risen Lord!

I believe that! Do you believe?

Let us praise the Risen Lord!

Amen
