Psalm 112 - Who helps and Encourages us?
This is based loosely (VERY loosely!) on Psalm 121
Please feel free to adapt this as you see fit to meet the needs of your group! Add shouting, instruments, flags etc to make it more fun!
There is an accompanying PowerPoint presentation here. (This was made a long while ago, and the pictures may be somewhat outdated! Perhaps you could use it for ideas.)
Explain how God is always with us to help us if we ask Him. Explain that God is with us all the time, not just when we feel good, or happy, but even when we feel grotty!
(Numbers are the Presentation slide numbers)
Explain that the response is:
1. Our help comes from God!
Perhaps have a practice!
2. Who helps and encourages us?
3. Our help comes from God!
4. Who helps us when we feel down and sad?
5. Our help comes from God!
6. Who helps us when we are happy and full of joy?
7. Our help comes from God!
8. Who helps us when we find things difficult to do?
9. Our help comes from God!
10. Who helps us not to do things that make God sad?
11. Our help comes from God!
12. Thank you God for helping us
13. Amen
